INTRODUCTION 

The One Campaign encourages the church to unite itself to listen to Gospels during LENT 2021. It is sponsored by Faith Comes By Hearing and is accessible through the Bible.is app. ​

 

​BARTLEY CHRISTIAN CHURCH'S PARTICIPATION

  • The One Campaign will be mainly adopted by the English Congregation as part of the Missional Cells Launch in 2021 (Official Launch: 21 February 2021). 

  • The Chinese and Korean Congregations will also adopt the One Campaign.

GOALS  

  • Uniting cells in the launch of Missional Cells with a common campaign. 

  • Discipleship through the habit of daily Bible listening/reading1 and weekly watching groups during the campaign. 

  • Preparation for in-depth study of FEED 265-268 Gospels and Christ course from July to September 2021.  

  • Commitment to on-going daily listening/reading and regular watching groups in cells even after the campaign. 

PROGRAM 

  • 40 Daily (7 weeks) listening/reading2 of Matthew, Luke and John: Individuals. 

    • 1-3 chapters a day (5:52-14:25 min). 

  • 7 optional Sunday listening/reading of Mark: Individuals.

    • 1-3 chapters a day (2:42-17:37 min). 

  • 6 Weekly watching of Gospel of Mark movie: Watching Groups/ Missional Cells.

    • This will be a special church-wide campaign and all cells are encouraged to meet weekly during this period. 

    • All cells will meet weekly for week #1-5 to view and discuss a movie of the Gospel of Mark.  

      • Each viewing will range from about 12-23 minutes. 

        • WEEK #1 (21-27 Feb):  

          • Mark 1:1-3:19 (Segment 1-5; Time: 18:42) 

        • WEEK #2 (28 Feb – 6 Mar): 

          • Mark 3:20-6:29 (Segment 6-12; Time: 21:03) 

          • The Prayer & Praise for March will be cancelled so that Cells may conduct this viewing. 

        • WEEK #3 (7-13 Mar): 

          • Mark 6:30-9:32 (Segment 13-19; Time: 23:13) 

        • WEEK #4 (14-20 Mar): 

          • Mark 9:33-10:52 (Segment 20-23; Time: 11:53) 

        • WEEK #5 (22-27 Mar): 

          • Mark 11:1-14:16 (Segment 24-31; Time: 23:04) 

      • 2 POSSIBLE SETS OF (similar) DISCUSSION QUESTIONS to use after each viewing.

          • What stood out to you from today’s viewing. 

          • How would you summarize the chapters in a sentence or two? 

          • What did you learn about Jesus in these chapters? 

          • What did you learn about the people/humanity in these chapters? 

          • What is God asking you to do, be, embrace, change and/or believe from these chapters? 

        • DISCUSSION QUESTIONS B (3H MODEL): 

          • Share what you have gained from the Bible verses of the day.  

            • HEAD: The Head needs to know the facts of the passage.  

              • What are the facts of these passages? 

            • HEART: The Heart needs to believe the story.  

              • What does your heart need to believe? 

            • HANDS: The Hands need to know what to do now they have heard the story.  

              • What to do now after you’ve heard the passage?  

          • BONUS QUESTIONS: 

            • What did you learn about Jesus in these chapters? 

            • What did you learn about people/humanity?  

    • Cells will not meet on week #6  but instead, they will be encouraged to attend the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services. 

    • The Week #6 movie of the Gospel of Mark will be screened in 3 parts, each respectively during:  

      • Maundy Thursday Service (1 Apr) 

        • Mark 14:17-72 (Segment 32-34; Time: 10:16) 

      • Good Friday Service (2 Apr) 

        • Mark 15:1-47 (Segment 35-36; Time: 8:06)   

      • Easter Sunday Service (4 Apr)  

        • Mark 16:1-20 (Segment 37-38; Time: 4:00) 

    • There will be no discussions after the movies for week #6.  

  • Introductory Sermon to ONE Campaign and 9 Sermons through the Gospel of Mark (7 Sundays + Maundy Thursday + Good Friday): Church
